Landscapes, acrylics. "Looking north from Cave Creek. Rain in the West comes in multiple sheets of dark and light. Here, the clouds are completely covering and pouring down on New River Mesa, only showing the small peak in front of it. Everything was very dark except for the luminous, illuminated steps of light across the land leading to the rainbow. The layers of the land kept on going right up through the sky. I felt I captured the rhythmic repetition of shapes and the feeling of pouring rain."
