Landscapes, acrylics. "From our roof in Scottsdale, Arizona, I painted storm clouds clearing in late afternoon which radiated from a central point on the horizon. I felt the land would be incidental, so left it out. I didn't want to ground the sky. I painted quickly, as the clouds zoomed towards me in a fan shape. It's impossible to paint every shape at once, since clouds move, but I locked in a series of shapes that I intuitively felt worked together."
