Acrylic paintings, still-lifes. "Such still-lifes are often the result of an accidental accumulation of objects that ultimately catch the artist's eye. These were on a bedside bureau. I was teaching at the time, which accounts for the slides, slide containers and boxed slide carousel. The powdered milk was no doubt for tea or coffee, but why was the birdseed box there? Clearly, I am painting it because of its lustrous orange color and the symbolic bird. This is a very compact, tightly designed painting."
